These Salami Rolls are a simple and savory snack or appetizer that combines the tang of dill pickles with creamy cheese, all wrapped in flavorful salami slices. Perfect for parties, picnics, or anytime you need a quick finger food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slices of salami (large, thin slices work best)
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 6 small dill pickles (or pickle spears, halved lengthwise)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Toothpicks (for securing, optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture:
    • In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the chopped fresh dill (if using) until smooth and well combined.
  • Assemble the Rolls:
    • Lay a slice of salami flat on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture over the entire slice.
    • Place a dill pickle (or half a spear) at one edge of the salami slice.
  • Roll and Secure:
    • Roll the salami tightly around the pickle, creating a neat roll.
    • Secure with a toothpick if needed to keep it in place.
  • Chill (Optional):
    • For firmer rolls, refrigerate the salami rolls for 15-20 minutes before serving.
  • Serve:
    • Slice each roll in half for smaller bites, or serve whole. Arrange on a platter and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicy twist, use spicy dill pickles or add a dash of hot sauce to the cream cheese.
  • Substitute salami with prosciutto or ham for a variation in flavor.
  • These rolls can be made a few hours ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
