Air Fryer Baked Potato is a quick and easy method to get crispy skin and fluffy insides without turning on the oven. Perfect as a side dish or topped with your favorite fixings for a complete meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Scrub the potatoes clean and dry them thoroughly with a towel.
  2. Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Place potatoes in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for air circulation.
  5. Air fry for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway through, until the skin is crispy and a fork pierces easily through the center.
  6. Carefully remove from the air fryer, cut a slit down the center, and fluff the inside with a fork.
  7. Serve with butter, sour cream, cheese, chives, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Cooking time may vary depending on potato size—check for doneness with a fork.
  • Use Yukon gold or sweet potatoes for variation.
  • For extra crispy skin, prick the potatoes before air frying.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer or microwave.
