These Air Fryer Cheesy Taco Bombs are crispy, golden bites filled with seasoned taco meat, gooey melted cheese, and wrapped in biscuit dough. Perfect for a quick snack, party appetizer, or game-day treat!

For the Filling:

  • ½ lb (225g) ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)

For the Dough:

  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuit dough (or crescent roll dough)

For Topping (Optional):

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano or taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Taco Filling

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned.
  2. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

2. Assemble the Taco Bombs

  1. Flatten each biscuit dough round into a 4-inch circle.
  2. Place 1 tablespoon taco meat and 1 tablespoon shredded cheese in the center.
  3. Pinch the edges together to seal and form a ball.

3. Air Fry the Taco Bombs

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spray the air fryer basket with oil and place the taco bombs seam-side down.
  3. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.

4. Brush & Serve

  1. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and oregano, then brush over warm taco bombs.
  2. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole!


Notes

  • Spicy Kick? Add chopped jalapeños inside the filling.
  • No Air Fryer? Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Dough Substitute? Use pizza dough or puff pastry instead.
