Air fryer chicken and broccoli is a fast, fuss-free dinner that’s juicy, crispy, and full of flavor. Tender chunks of seasoned chicken and crispy roasted broccoli cook together in the air fryer for a simple, healthy meal that’s great on its own or served over rice or noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 3 cups broccoli florets

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Optional: 1 tablespoon soy sauce or teriyaki sauce (for extra flavor)

  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, green onions, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss chicken with 1 tablespoon olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add soy or teriyaki sauce if using. Set aside to marinate while prepping broccoli.

  2. In a separate bowl, toss broccoli florets with remaining 1/2 tablespoon olive oil and a pinch of salt.

  3. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.

  4. Place chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380°F for 8 minutes.

  5. Open basket, shake or stir the chicken, then add broccoli on top or around the sides.

  6. Continue cooking for another 6–8 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F) and broccoli is tender with crispy edges.

  7. Serve hot, sprinkled with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

Notes

  • Works great with pre-cut broccoli florets or frozen (just thaw and dry well before air frying).

  • Add cooked rice or quinoa for a complete meal.

  • Want it saucier? Toss everything in extra teriyaki or sweet chili sauce before serving.
