Air fryer chicken and broccoli is a fast, fuss-free dinner that’s juicy, crispy, and full of flavor. Tender chunks of seasoned chicken and crispy roasted broccoli cook together in the air fryer for a simple, healthy meal that’s great on its own or served over rice or noodles.
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
3 cups broccoli florets
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: 1 tablespoon soy sauce or teriyaki sauce (for extra flavor)
Optional toppings: sesame seeds, green onions, red pepper flakes
In a large bowl, toss chicken with 1 tablespoon olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add soy or teriyaki sauce if using. Set aside to marinate while prepping broccoli.
In a separate bowl, toss broccoli florets with remaining 1/2 tablespoon olive oil and a pinch of salt.
Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Place chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380°F for 8 minutes.
Open basket, shake or stir the chicken, then add broccoli on top or around the sides.
Continue cooking for another 6–8 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F) and broccoli is tender with crispy edges.
Serve hot, sprinkled with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
Works great with pre-cut broccoli florets or frozen (just thaw and dry well before air frying).
Add cooked rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
Want it saucier? Toss everything in extra teriyaki or sweet chili sauce before serving.
