These crunchy taco pinwheels are filled with flavorful beef, gooey cheese, and warm spices, all rolled up in tortillas and air-fried to perfection. Serve them with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa for the ultimate bite!

For the Filling:

  • ½ lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup salsa
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (optional, for extra creaminess)

For the Pinwheels:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

For Serving:

 

  • Sour cream
  • Guacamole
  • Salsa
  • Chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Cook the Taco Meat:

    • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add ground beef and cook for 5-6 minutes, breaking it up until browned.
    • Stir in taco seasoning and salsa; cook for 1-2 more minutes. Remove from heat.
  2. Assemble the Pinwheels:

    • Spread cream cheese (if using) on each tortilla.
    • Evenly distribute the taco meat and shredded cheese over the tortillas.
    • Roll each tortilla tightly into a log.
    • Slice into 1-inch pinwheels.
  3. Air Fry the Pinwheels:

    • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
    • Lightly spray pinwheels with cooking spray.
    • Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
    • Air fry for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  4. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Serve warm with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or cilantro for dipping!
