This air fryer grilled cheese is crispy, golden brown, and perfectly melty inside. Made in just minutes, it’s an easy and delicious comfort food classic!

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened) or mayonnaise
  • 4 slices cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer:

    • Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for a couple of minutes.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich:

    • Spread butter or mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
    • Place a slice of cheese on the unbuttered side of two slices of bread, then top with the other slices (buttered side facing out).
  3. Air Fry the Sandwiches:

    • Place sandwiches in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
    • Air fry for 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Let cool slightly, then slice and serve with tomato soup or your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

  • For extra cheesy goodness, use two types of cheese (cheddar + mozzarella).
  • Try different spreads! Mayo gives a crispier crust, while butter adds a rich flavor.
