Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced into ½-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin (optional, for extra depth)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat the air fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.

2. Prepare the sweet potatoes:

  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cumin (if using), salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

3. Cook the sweet potatoes:

  • Place the seasoned sweet potato cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding).
  • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even crispiness.

4. Serve:

  • Once golden brown and crispy on the outside, remove from the air fryer.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro and serve immediately as a side dish, salad topping, or snack.

Notes

  • Sweet & Spicy: Add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Herb-Infused: Toss with rosemary or thyme for a fragrant twist.
  • Parmesan Garlic: Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the sweet potatoes during the last 2 minutes of air frying.
