Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps are a light, healthy, and super satisfying dish made with ground turkey, fresh veggies, and a flavorful stir-fry sauce—all served in crisp lettuce leaves. Perfect for a quick dinner or party appetizer, and ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 small onion, finely diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 cup shredded carrots

  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, diced (optional but recommended)

  • 2 green onions, chopped

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional, for heat)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For Serving:

  • 1 head butter lettuce or romaine (leaves separated and washed)

  • Chopped peanuts or cashews (optional, for topping)

  • Extra green onions or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Filling:
    Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
    Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
    Add ground turkey, breaking it up as it cooks. Cook until browned and no longer pink.

  2. Add the Sauce & Veggies:
    Stir in soy sauce, hoisin, rice vinegar, and sriracha. Add shredded carrots and water chestnuts. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until everything is coated and heated through.

  3. Assemble Wraps:
    Spoon warm turkey mixture into lettuce leaves. Top with chopped peanuts, green onions, or sesame seeds if desired.

  4. Serve:
    Serve immediately while warm and fresh!

Notes

  • Can be made ahead and reheated—store the filling and lettuce separately.

  • Swap turkey for ground chicken, beef, or tofu to suit your needs.

  • Add diced red bell pepper or mushrooms for extra veggies.
