This Baked Brie and Bread Wreath is a stunning appetizer that combines warm, gooey brie with golden, fluffy bread rolls. Perfect for holiday gatherings, this pull-apart wreath is both festive and delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel of brie (8–10 oz / 225–300 g)
  • 1 lb (450 g) pizza dough or crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: 2 tbsp cranberry sauce or apricot jam (to top the brie)

For dipping:

  • Additional cranberry sauce, jam, or honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet or round oven-safe dish with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the bread wreath:
    • Divide the dough into small, even pieces (about 20–24 pieces) and roll them into balls.
  3. Assemble the wreath:
    • Place the brie wheel in the center of the baking sheet. If using cranberry sauce or jam, spread a layer on top of the brie.
    • Arrange the dough balls around the brie, leaving a small gap between the dough and the cheese to allow for expansion.
  4. Brush with egg wash:
    • Brush the dough balls with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the brie is soft and gooey.
  6. Add the finishing touches:
    • Mix the melted butter with garlic powder and brush over the baked bread balls. Sprinkle with chopped parsley for a festive touch.
  7. Serve:
    • Serve the bread wreath warm, allowing guests to pull off bread balls and dip them into the gooey brie.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, stuff some of the dough balls with small cubes of cheese or garlic butter before baking.
  • This wreath pairs wonderfully with apple slices, grapes, or vegetable sticks for dipping.
  • Use puff pastry squares for an extra flaky option.
