These sliders are the ultimate combination of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors. Tender turkey slices, cranberry sauce, melty cheese, and buttery rolls come together for a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian rolls or dinner rolls)
  • 1 lb (450 g) cooked turkey slices (leftovers work great!)
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) cranberry sauce
  • 6 slices of Swiss cheese or provolone, halved
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) mayonnaise (optional)

For the buttery topping:

  • 1/4 cup (55 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Assemble the sliders:
    • Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
    • Spread mayonnaise (if using) on the bottom rolls. Layer with turkey slices, cranberry sauce, and cheese. Top with the upper half of the rolls.
  3. Prepare the buttery topping:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and poppy seeds.
  4. Brush and bake:
    • Generously brush the buttery mixture over the tops of the sliders. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve:
    • Let the sliders cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • Turkey alternative: Use deli turkey if you don’t have leftovers.
  • Cheese swaps: Cheddar, Havarti, or Gruyère work wonderfully too.
  • Make ahead: Assemble the sliders a few hours in advance, refrigerate, and bake just before serving.
