Ingredients

Scale

Makes 12 sliders:

  • For the chicken:
    • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
    • 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
    • 2 large eggs, beaten
    • 1 cup (120 g) panko breadcrumbs
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • For the bang bang sauce:
    • 1/2 cup (120 g) mayonnaise
    • 1/4 cup (60 g) sweet chili sauce
    • 2 tablespoons Sriracha (adjust to taste)
    • 1 tablespoon honey
  • For assembly:
    • 12 slider buns
    • Lettuce leaves
    • Sliced cucumber or pickles (optional)
    • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the chicken:
    • Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
    • Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
    • Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, dip in egg, and coat in breadcrumbs.
  • Cook the chicken:
    • Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
    • Fry the breaded chicken pieces in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C).
    • Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Make the bang bang sauce:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey until smooth.
  • Assemble the sliders:
    • Toast the slider buns if desired.
    • Spread bang bang sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, a piece of crispy chicken, and optional cucumber or pickles. Drizzle with more bang bang sauce and sprinkle with green onions. Add the top bun.
  • Serve:
    • Serve immediately with extra bang bang sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For a healthier version, bake the chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, or use an air fryer.
  • You can substitute chicken with shrimp for a seafood twist.
  • Store leftover components separately and assemble fresh for best results.
