Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Salmon Bites:
    • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 large eggs, beaten
    • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
    • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • For the Bang Bang Sauce:
    • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
    • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
    • 1 teaspoon honey or sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Season the Salmon:
    • Pat the salmon cubes dry with a paper towel. Season them with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bread the Salmon:
    • Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
    • Dip each salmon cube into the flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Cook the Salmon:
    • Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, fry the salmon bites in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  5. Toss with Sauce:
    • Gently toss the cooked salmon bites in the prepared Bang Bang Sauce or drizzle the sauce over the top.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve immediately with additional sauce on the side for dipping. Garnish with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, bake the breaded salmon bites at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through, or air-fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes.
  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha to the sauce.
  • These salmon bites are great as an appetizer or served over rice with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
