  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for balance)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ cup cornstarch (for crispiness)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Pasta:

  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water (if needed to thin sauce)
  • ¼ cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook linguine or spaghetti according to package directions until al dente.
  3. Drain, reserving ¼ cup pasta water, and set aside.

Step 2: Make the Bang Bang Sauce

  1. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, lime juice, and garlic powder.
  2. Set aside until ready to use.

Step 3: Cook the Shrimp

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels, then season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Toss shrimp in cornstarch until lightly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Step 4: Make the Pasta Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  3. Stir in heavy cream (if using) and half of the Bang Bang sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Toss in the cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water if needed to thin the sauce.

Step 5: Assemble & Serve

  1. Add crispy shrimp to the pasta and toss gently.
  2. Drizzle with remaining Bang Bang sauce.
  3. Garnish with green onions and red pepper flakes.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make It Lighter: Use Greek yogurt instead of mayo and skip the heavy cream.
  • Extra Crunchy Shrimp: Double-coat the shrimp in cornstarch before frying.
  • Spicier Version: Increase Sriracha or add crushed red pepper flakes.
