The BBQ Bacon Burger is a hearty and flavorful sandwich made with a juicy beef patty, crispy bacon, melted cheese, and tangy BBQ sauce—all layered on a toasted bun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Add a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  4. While burgers cook, toast the buns with a bit of butter in a skillet or on the grill until golden brown.
  5. Assemble burgers by spreading BBQ sauce on the bottom buns, placing the patties on top, followed by 2 slices of bacon per burger.
  6. Add any additional toppings, then top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with fries or your favorite side.

Notes

  • Use brioche buns for an extra soft and buttery texture.
  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack or smoked gouda for variety.
  • Turkey or plant-based patties can be used as substitutes.
