This BBQ Chicken Dip is a hot, bubbly appetizer that combines tender shredded chicken, tangy barbecue sauce, creamy cheese, and a touch of ranch. It’s baked to golden perfection and served with chips or crackers—perfect for dipping and devouring!

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)

  • ½ cup ranch dressing

  • 1½ cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie works great)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

  • Optional toppings: sliced green onions, drizzle of extra BBQ sauce

  • For serving: tortilla chips, crackers, sliced baguette, or veggie sticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    Set oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Mix base:
    In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, barbecue sauce, and ranch dressing until smooth.

  3. Add chicken and cheese:
    Stir in shredded chicken, cheddar, and Monterey Jack cheese until well combined.

  4. Bake:
    Transfer mixture to a baking dish (8×8-inch or similar). Bake for 20–25 minutes, until hot and bubbly.

  5. Top and serve:
    Remove from oven, garnish with green onions and extra BBQ sauce if desired. Serve warm with chips or dippers of choice.

Notes

  • Want some heat? Add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.

  • This dip can be made ahead—just assemble and refrigerate, then bake when ready.

  • You can also cook it in a small slow cooker on LOW for 2–3 hours.
