BBQ grilled shrimp skewers are a quick, flavorful seafood dish featuring juicy shrimp coated in smoky barbecue sauce and grilled to perfection—ideal for summer cookouts or easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (metal or soaked wooden)
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Thread shrimp onto skewers.
  4. Brush shrimp with barbecue sauce on all sides.
  5. Grill skewers for 2–3 minutes per side, basting with more BBQ sauce as desired, until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from grill and serve hot with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Use jumbo or large shrimp to prevent overcooking.
  • Soak wooden skewers for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  • Great served with grilled vegetables, rice, or salad.
  • You can substitute homemade BBQ sauce for store-bought for extra flavor control.
