1 can (16 oz) refried beans
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp chili powder
Salt to taste
1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes or jalapeños (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine refried beans, sour cream, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.
Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
Garnish with chopped green onions and tomatoes or jalapeños if desired.
Serve hot with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.
Notes
Make it spicy by adding hot sauce or chopped jalapeños to the mix.
