Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or ground beef (thinly sliced or crumbled)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little spice)

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or rigatoni)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
  • Extra Parmesan cheese (for topping)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Beef

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced beef or ground beef, seasoning with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Cook for 4-5 minutes until browned, then transfer to a plate.

Step 3: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring until thickened.

Step 4: Combine Everything

  1. Return the cooked beef to the skillet.
  2. Add the drained pasta, tossing everything together.
  3. If the sauce is too thick, stir in a little reserved pasta water until creamy.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy!

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve warm with garlic bread or a side salad.

Notes

  • Meat Options: Swap sirloin for ground beef, steak strips, or even chicken.
  • Lighter Version: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream and reduce the cheese.
  • Extra Flavor: Add sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes for more depth.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat with a splash of cream.
