A savory and hearty beef pizza pie combining the flavors of seasoned ground beef, tomato sauce, and melted cheese baked into a golden crust.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and oregano. Cook until beef is browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in pizza sauce and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. Spoon the beef mixture into the crust and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can add toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, or bell peppers before baking for extra flavor.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
