Ingredients
Scale
1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
12 slices of bacon
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Toothpicks (optional, for securing bacon)
Instructions
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Rinse and trim the woody ends of the asparagus spears.
Toss asparagus with olive oil, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Wrap each bacon slice around 2-3 asparagus spears and secure with a toothpick if needed.
Place wrapped bundles on the grill and cook for 10–15 minutes, turning occasionally, until bacon is crispy and asparagus is tender.
Remove from grill and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Thin-cut bacon works best for even cooking on the grill.
You can precook the bacon slightly to reduce grill time and ensure crispiness.
Serve with a drizzle of balsamic glaze or a sprinkle of parmesan for extra flavor.
