Big Mac Sloppy Joes are a fun and flavorful mashup of the classic McDonald’s Big Mac and traditional sloppy joes. These sandwiches are made with seasoned ground beef, a creamy special sauce, and all the fixings served on hamburger buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing or special sauce
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain excess grease if needed.
  2. Stir in pickles, Thousand Island dressing, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and simmer for 3–5 minutes until heated through.
  3. Toast hamburger buns if desired. Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each bun.
  4. Spoon the beef mixture over the cheese, then top with shredded lettuce and the top bun.
  5. Serve warm with extra pickles or fries on the side.

Notes

  • Use a homemade special sauce for a more authentic Big Mac flavor.
  • Toasted sesame seed buns add a classic Big Mac touch.
  • Ground turkey can be used as a leaner alternative to beef.
  • Add a middle bun slice to mimic the true Big Mac structure.
