- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4–6 limes)
- 1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves and extra blackberries, for garnish (optional)
- In a blender, pulse blackberries until smooth.
- Strain blackberry purée through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing with a spoon to extract juice and discard seeds.
- Add lime juice and sugar to the pitcher; stir until sugar dissolves.
- Pour in cold water and stir to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
- Fill serving glasses with ice cubes, pour over limeade, and garnish with fresh mint leaves and extra blackberries if desired.
- Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours for flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, substitute part or all of the water with club soda right before serving.
- Adjust sugar to taste or use honey/agave as healthier alternatives.
- Try adding a splash of limeade to vodka, gin, or tequila for a tasty cocktail.
- Leftover limeade can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours; stir before serving.
