This Blackstone French toast is crispy, golden, and packed with cinnamon-sweet flavor. Cooking it on the griddle gives you a perfect texture and enough space to make a big batch at once. It’s the ideal breakfast for feeding a hungry crowd or enjoying a weekend brunch outdoors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices thick-cut bread (brioche or Texas toast works best)

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

  • Butter or oil, for greasing the griddle

  • Maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh fruit for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Blackstone griddle to medium heat.

  • Make the batter: In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

  • Dip the bread: Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly. Let any excess drip off.

  • Grease the griddle: Lightly butter or oil the griddle surface.

  • Cook the French toast: Place the soaked bread slices on the griddle. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Serve hot: Top with butter, maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh berries if desired.

Notes

  • For extra richness, substitute half-and-half for the milk.

  • Day-old bread works best—it soaks up the batter without getting too soggy.

  • Add a splash of orange juice or zest to the batter for a bright flavor twist.
