This Blender Salsa is fresh, zesty, and packed with bold flavors, made in just 5 minutes with simple ingredients! No chopping needed—just toss everything in a blender for a smooth, restaurant-style salsa that’s perfect for tacos, chips, burritos, or meal prep!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can fire-roasted diced tomatoes (or fresh ripe tomatoes!)
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel!)
  • ½ small onion, roughly chopped
  • 12 jalapeños, seeded (for mild) or with seeds (for spicy!)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro (or more, if you love it!)
  • Juice of 1 lime (adds freshness!)
  • ½ tsp cumin (adds warmth!)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste!)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp sugar (optional, balances acidity!)

Instructions

Step 1: Blend Everything Together

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor.
  2. Pulse a few times for chunky salsa or blend longer for smooth restaurant-style salsa.

Step 2: Adjust & Chill

  1. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed—add more salt, lime, or jalapeño for extra kick!
  2. Chill for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor (optional, but recommended!).

Step 3: Serve & Enjoy!

  1. Serve with tortilla chips, tacos, burritos, or nachos.
  2. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Serving Suggestions

  • With Guacamole: Pair with fresh avocado or guacamole.
  • As a Marinade: Use for grilled chicken, shrimp, or steak.
  • With Breakfast: Spoon over scrambled eggs or breakfast burritos.

Notes

  • Want it smokier? Add ½ tsp smoked paprika or a roasted poblano pepper.
  • Chunky Version: Use canned whole tomatoes and pulse less.
  • Roasted Salsa: Roast fresh tomatoes, jalapeños, and garlic before blending for a deeper flavor!
