BLT Pasta Salad is a refreshing and savory twist on the classic sandwich, featuring crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and tender pasta tossed in a creamy dressing—perfect for picnics, potlucks, and BBQs.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz rotini or bowtie pasta
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup romaine or iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped chives or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse under cold water to cool.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta, tomatoes, lettuce, and bacon.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine evenly.
  5. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions if desired.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.

Notes

  • Add the lettuce just before serving to keep it crisp.
  • Use turkey bacon for a lighter option.
  • Can be made a few hours in advance and stored in the fridge.
