  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

For the Cocktail:

  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1 ounce blueberry lavender syrup
  • 3 ounces sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes

For Garnish:

  • Fresh blueberries
  • Lemon slices
  • Lavender sprigs

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Blueberry Lavender Syrup

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, water, sugar, lavender, and lemon zest over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, gently mashing the blueberries.
  3. Remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, discarding the solids. Let the syrup cool completely.

Step 2: Make the Cocktail

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add vodka, fresh lemon juice, and blueberry lavender syrup. Shake well for 10-15 seconds.
  3. Strain into a glass filled with ice.
  4. Top with sparkling water or club soda.
  5. Garnish with fresh blueberries, a lemon slice, and a sprig of lavender.

Notes

  • Swap vodka for gin for a more botanical flavor.
  • Make it non-alcoholic by skipping the vodka and adding more sparkling water.
  • Store extra blueberry lavender syrup in the fridge for up to 1 week.
