This Broken Glass Jello (also called Stained Glass Jello) is a fun, colorful, and wobbly dessert made with vibrant jello cubes suspended in a creamy, sweet base. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or festive celebrations!

For the Colored Jello Cubes:

  • 3 small boxes (3 oz / 85 g each) Jello in different flavors (e.g., strawberry, lime, orange, blueberry)
  • 3 cups (720 ml) boiling water (1 cup per flavor)

For the Creamy Base:

  • 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • 2 envelopes (14 g total) unflavored gelatin (such as Knox)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) cold water

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Colored Jello Cubes

  1. In separate bowls, dissolve each Jello flavor in 1 cup of boiling water.
  2. Pour each flavor into a small greased container (glass or plastic).
  3. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until fully set.

2️⃣ Cut the Jello & Arrange

  1. Once set, cut the colored jello into small cubes.
  2. Gently mix the cubes and place them in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

3️⃣ Prepare the Creamy Base

  1. In a bowl, sprinkle unflavored gelatin over cold water and let sit for 5 minutes (to bloom).
  2. Add 1 cup boiling water and stir until gelatin dissolves.
  3. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and mix until smooth.
  4. Let cool to room temperature (about 10 minutes).

4️⃣ Pour & Chill

  1. Pour the cooled creamy mixture over the jello cubes.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) until fully set.

5️⃣ Slice & Serve!

  • Cut into squares or fun shapes and serve chilled.
