Bunny Bait is a sweet and salty snack mix loaded with popcorn, pretzels, pastel candies, and coated in white chocolate. It’s the perfect treat for Easter parties, springtime movie nights, or gifting in cute bags. Quick to make and even quicker to disappear!
6 cups popped popcorn (plain or lightly salted)
2 cups mini pretzels
1 ½ cups Rice Chex or Corn Chex cereal
1 cup pastel-colored M&Ms or candy-coated chocolates
½ cup Easter sprinkles or colored nonpareils
12 oz white chocolate chips or melting wafers
Optional: 1 tbsp coconut oil (helps melt chocolate smoothly)
Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine popcorn, pretzels, cereal, M&Ms, and half of the sprinkles.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips (and coconut oil if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
Pour the melted white chocolate over the snack mix and gently stir until everything is evenly coated.
Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
Quickly sprinkle the remaining sprinkles on top before the chocolate sets.
Let cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until set.
Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
You can add other goodies like mini marshmallows, candy-coated sunflower seeds, or chopped cookies.
Switch out the candies and sprinkles to match any holiday or theme.
Great for packaging in treat bags or jars as edible gifts!
