Burrata Bruschetta is a simple yet elegant Italian appetizer featuring creamy burrata cheese layered on toasted bread with juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of crusty bread (like ciabatta or baguette), sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 ball of burrata cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped or whole
  • Balsamic glaze, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  2. Toast bread in the oven for 6–8 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
  3. In a bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Let sit for 10 minutes to marinate.
  4. Break burrata into pieces and set aside.
  5. Spoon tomato mixture onto toasted bread slices.
  6. Top each with a piece of burrata cheese.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh basil and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  8. Serve immediately while the bread is still warm and crisp.

Notes

  • Use heirloom or vine-ripened tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • Grill the bread for a smokier taste.
  • Serve as an appetizer or light lunch.
