  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (for extra color)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For the Cajun Honey Butter Glaze
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
For Garnish (Optional)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

1. Season the Salmon
  1. Pat salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  2. Rub olive oil over the salmon, then season with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
2. Cook the Salmon (Stovetop Method)
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil.
  2. Place salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 3–4 minutes until crispy.
  3. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes, until salmon is cooked through (145°F/63°C internal temp).
3. Make the Honey Butter Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, honey, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Pour the glaze over the salmon in the skillet and spoon it over the fillets for 30 seconds until glossy.
4. Serve & Enjoy
  1. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley or green onions, and serve with lemon wedges.
  2. Enjoy with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad!

Alternative: Baked Cajun Honey Butter Salmon

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and place seasoned salmon on it.
  3. Bake for 12–15 minutes, then brush with the honey butter glaze and broil for 2 minutes until caramelized.

Storage & Reheating
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat or in the oven at 300°F (150°C) for 5–7 minutes.

Notes

  • Swap Cajun seasoning for Blackened or Creole seasoning for a different twist.
  • Use maple syrup instead of honey for a deeper sweetness.
  • Want it crispier? Broil for the last 2 minutes of cooking!
