Cake Mix Crinkle Cookies are soft, chewy, and super easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. These delightful cookies are perfect for holidays, parties, or whenever you need a quick, sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Makes about 24 cookies

  • 1 box (15.25 oz / 432 g) cake mix (any flavor, such as chocolate, lemon, or red velvet)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  2. Make the cookie dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract (if using). Mix until a soft, sticky dough forms.
  3. Prepare the powdered sugar:
    • Place the powdered sugar in a shallow bowl.
  4. Form the cookies:
    • Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, scoop out dough and roll it into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball generously in the powdered sugar, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Bake the cookies:
    • Place the coated dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the cookies have crinkled tops.
  6. Cool and serve:
    • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 2-3 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
