Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white or yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: Sprinkles, colored sugar, or frosting for decoration

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Make the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  • Shape the Cookies:
    • Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
    • For a festive touch, roll the dough balls in sprinkles or colored sugar before baking.
  • Bake:
    • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.
    • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Decorate (Optional):
    • Once cooled, decorate with frosting, more sprinkles, or drizzle with melted chocolate as desired.

Notes

  • Use different flavors of cake mix (e.g., chocolate, funfetti, or strawberry) for variety.
  • For a softer cookie, slightly underbake them and let them cool on the baking sheet.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
