This Caprese Dip is a warm, gooey, and cheesy appetizer bursting with the classic flavors of tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil. Perfect for gatherings or as a comforting snack, it’s served with toasted bread or crackers for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, cubed or torn into pieces
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • Optional: Balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the base: In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic. Spread the mixture evenly at the bottom of a small oven-safe dish or skillet.
  • Layer the tomatoes and mozzarella: Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cubes over the cream cheese mixture. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Add fresh basil: Remove the dip from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh basil over the top. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, if using.
  • Serve: Serve warm with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or fresh veggies for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use a mix of cherry tomatoes in different colors.
  • To make it more indulgent, add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
  • This dip pairs wonderfully with a glass of white wine or sparkling water.
