This Caprese Salad with Balsamic Glaze is a fresh, simple dish that celebrates the best of summer produce. Made with juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fragrant basil, and a sweet-tangy balsamic glaze, it’s the perfect starter or light side dish. Ready in just minutes—no cooking required!

Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe tomatoes, sliced

  • 12 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • Salt, to taste

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  • On a serving platter or large plate, arrange alternating slices of tomato and mozzarella in a circular pattern or layered row.

  • Tuck basil leaves in between the slices.

  • Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the salad.

  • Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  • Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze across the top.

 

  • Serve immediately.

  • For best flavor, use tomatoes at room temperature.

  • You can make your own balsamic glaze by simmering balsamic vinegar until thickened.
