Caramel Chocolate Chip Brownies are ultra-fudgy treats layered with gooey caramel and loaded with chocolate chips for a rich, indulgent dessert perfect for any chocolate lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture and stir until smooth.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Drizzle caramel sauce over this layer.
  7. Top with the remaining brownie batter and spread gently to cover the caramel layer.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool completely, then drizzle with extra caramel sauce before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use store-bought or homemade caramel sauce.
  • For salted caramel flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before baking.
  • Brownies taste even better the next day after flavors have set.
