This Cheese Ball recipe is a creamy, savory party appetizer made with a blend of cheeses, seasonings, and mix-ins, shaped into a ball and rolled in crunchy nuts or herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Stir in chopped green onions.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball using clean hands or plastic wrap.
  4. Spread the chopped pecans or walnuts on a plate and roll the cheese ball in the nuts to coat evenly.
  5. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  6. Serve with crackers, vegetables, or bread slices.

Notes

  • Can be made up to 2 days in advance for better flavor blending.
  • Use different cheese blends or add dried fruit for variety.
  • For a nut-free version, coat with fresh herbs or crushed pretzels instead.
