Cheese Stuffed Chicken is a delicious, protein-packed dish where juicy chicken breasts are filled with melty cheese and herbs, then baked to golden perfection. Perfect for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or spinach
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Toothpicks or kitchen twine (for securing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Slice a pocket into the side of each chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. In a bowl, mix mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley (or spinach).
  4. Stuff each chicken breast with the cheese mixture. Secure with toothpicks or kitchen twine.
  5. Season chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Transfer chicken to the baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove toothpicks before serving. Let rest 5 minutes, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Use your favorite cheese blend for different flavor profiles.
  • Try adding sun-dried tomatoes or cooked bacon inside for variation.
  • Searing the chicken helps lock in flavor and gives a nice crust.
