A comforting and hearty one-pan cheeseburger macaroni skillet that’s a homemade take on a classic boxed favorite. Perfect for busy weeknights and picky eaters.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Stir in beef broth, tomato sauce, paprika, mustard powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add macaroni and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10-12 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once pasta is cooked, stir in milk and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can add chopped pickles or a splash of pickle juice for a cheeseburger twist.
  • Use ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter or vegetarian option.
  • For extra cheesiness, mix in an additional 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.
