  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the topping:

  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.

2. Prepare the first crescent layer

  1. Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  2. Gently stretch and pinch the seams together to form an even layer.

3. Make the cheesecake filling

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough layer in the baking dish.

4. Add the second crescent layer

  1. Unroll the second can of crescent dough and carefully lay it over the cream cheese mixture.
  2. Stretch and pinch the seams together to create a smooth top layer.

5. Add the cinnamon-sugar topping

  1. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top crescent layer.
  3. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over the melted butter.

6. Bake

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are slightly crisp.
  2. Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for at least 10–15 minutes before slicing.

7. Serve

  • Slice into squares or rectangles and serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy plain or with a drizzle of caramel or chocolate sauce for extra indulgence!

Notes

  • Optional garnish: Top with fresh berries, whipped cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar for a fancier presentation.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds to enjoy warm.
  • Variations:
    • Add a tablespoon of lemon juice to the cream cheese mixture for a tangy twist.
    • Swap the cinnamon-sugar topping for a streusel mixture or chopped nuts for extra texture.
