Ingredients

Scale

For the Tortellini Bake:

  • 12 oz (340g) cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups (480ml) Alfredo sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Bacon Crumble:

  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • ¼ cup (25g) breadcrumbs (optional, for extra crunch)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Mix the Alfredo Sauce:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Alfredo sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Toss the cooked tortellini in the sauce until well-coated.
  4. Assemble the Bake:
    • Pour the tortellini and sauce mixture into the prepared baking dish.
    • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Prepare the Bacon Crumble:
    • In a small bowl, mix the crumbled bacon with breadcrumbs if using. Sprinkle the bacon mixture over the top of the cheese layer.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Serve warm with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or roasted garlic to the Alfredo sauce.
  • You can substitute turkey or vegetarian bacon for a lighter option.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
