  • 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños (optional)
  • Sour cream (for drizzling)

Instructions

Step 1: Bake or Fry the Fries

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) (or heat oil for deep frying).
  2. Spread frozen fries on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway.
    • Alternative: Deep fry at 350°F for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.

Step 2: Cook the Beef

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onions until browned.
  2. Drain excess grease and stir in garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
  3. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, then remove from heat.

Step 3: Make the Cheese Sauce

  1. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute to remove the raw taste.
  3. Slowly whisk in milk, cooking until slightly thickened (2-3 minutes).
  4. Add shredded cheddar, garlic powder, and salt, stirring until smooth.

Step 4: Assemble the Loaded Fries

  1. Place crispy fries on a large serving plate or baking sheet.
  2. Top with seasoned beef, melted cheese sauce, and crumbled bacon.
  3. Garnish with green onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, and sour cream.

Notes

  • Make It Spicy: Add hot sauce, cayenne, or spicy queso for a fiery kick!
  • Low-Carb Option: Swap fries for baked zucchini fries or roasted cauliflower.
  • Extra Cheese: Use nacho cheese sauce or pepper jack for extra gooeyness.
