Ingredients
Scale
2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
1/2 cup silver tequila
1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or triple sec)
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 tbsp simple syrup (or to taste)
Ice cubes
Salt or sugar for rimming glasses (optional)
Lime wedges and cherries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
If rimming glasses, rub a lime wedge around the edge and dip in salt or sugar. Set aside.
In a blender, combine cherries, tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, and a handful of ice.
Blend until smooth. Add more ice if desired for a slushier texture.
Pour into prepared glasses.
Garnish with lime wedges and cherries if desired.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup to taste.
Frozen cherries make the drink extra cold and slushy without diluting the flavor.
Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for a few hours before serving—stir or blend again before pouring.
