This creamy and tangy Frosted Lemonade is a refreshing blend of tart lemonade and sweet vanilla ice cream, just like the famous Chick-fil-A treat. Perfect for hot summer days or a quick dessert, it’s easy to make at home with just a few ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream (premium for the creamiest texture)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a frostier drink)

Instructions

  1. Make the lemonade base:
    • In a small pitcher or bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, sugar, and cold water until the sugar is fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes if desired.
  2. Blend the frosted lemonade:
    • In a blender, combine the prepared lemonade and vanilla ice cream. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  3. Adjust consistency:
    • If you prefer a frostier drink, add a handful of ice cubes to the blender and blend again until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Serve:
    • Pour the frosted lemonade into glasses and serve immediately. Optionally, garnish with a lemon slice or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

  • Dairy-free option: Substitute the vanilla ice cream with a dairy-free alternative like coconut or almond milk ice cream.
  • Sweetness adjustment: For a less sweet version, reduce the sugar in the lemonade or use unsweetened ice cream.
  • Make it fruity: Add a handful of fresh strawberries or raspberries to the blender for a fruity twist.
