Chicken breasts are a lean and versatile cut of poultry that can be baked, grilled, sautéed, or air-fried. They serve as a healthy protein base for a wide range of dishes and flavor profiles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme or oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a grill pan/skillet over medium heat.
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to even thickness using a meat mallet for uniform cooking.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and rub to coat evenly.
  4. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and herbs in a small bowl. Season both sides of the chicken breasts.
  5. For baking: Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. For stovetop: Cook in a lightly oiled skillet for 5–7 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to prevent overcooking and keep the chicken juicy.
  • Marinate beforehand for extra flavor and tenderness.
  • Perfect for slicing into salads, sandwiches, or meal prep bowls.
