For the chicken patties:
1 lb ground chicken
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
For the slaw:
1 cup shredded cabbage
½ cup shredded carrots
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
½ teaspoon honey
Salt to taste
For serving:
4 burger buns
Optional: mayo, chili crisp, or sriracha for topping
In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and form into burger patties.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with oil.
Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
In a separate bowl, toss the shredded cabbage and carrots with rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, and a pinch of salt to make the slaw.
Toast the burger buns if desired.
Assemble the burgers: Spread mayo or chili crisp on the buns, place the chicken patty on the bottom half, top with slaw, then close with the top bun.
Serve warm and enjoy!
For extra crisp, coat the patties lightly in panko before pan-frying.
These also cook great in the air fryer at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.
Add pickled onions or cucumber for more texture and flavor.
