Ingredients

Scale

For the chicken patties:

  • 1 lb ground chicken

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 green onions, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon salt

For the slaw:

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage

  • ½ cup shredded carrots

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • ½ teaspoon honey

  • Salt to taste

For serving:

  • 4 burger buns

  • Optional: mayo, chili crisp, or sriracha for topping

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and form into burger patties.

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with oil.

  • Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.

  • In a separate bowl, toss the shredded cabbage and carrots with rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, and a pinch of salt to make the slaw.

  • Toast the burger buns if desired.

  • Assemble the burgers: Spread mayo or chili crisp on the buns, place the chicken patty on the bottom half, top with slaw, then close with the top bun.

  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crisp, coat the patties lightly in panko before pan-frying.

  • These also cook great in the air fryer at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.

  • Add pickled onions or cucumber for more texture and flavor.
