Chicken Parmesan Pasta Casserole is a cheesy, baked dish that combines all the flavors of classic chicken parmesan with the comfort of pasta, perfect for a hearty family dinner.

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and diced
  • 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, pasta, marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Spread mixture into prepared baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with olive oil. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly and breadcrumbs are golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for quicker prep.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • This dish can be assembled ahead and baked later.
