Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz/235 g) can of crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
  • 2 cups (300 g) cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional Garnish:

  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Make the chicken filling:
    • In a medium bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Assemble the crescent rolls:
    • Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture (about 1-2 tablespoons) at the wide end of each triangle.
    • Roll the crescent dough tightly around the filling, starting at the wide end and working toward the tip. Pinch any edges to seal the filling inside.
  4. Bake:
    • Place the stuffed crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve:
    • Let the rolls cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley or Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm with a side of ranch dressing, marinara sauce, or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • Make it spicy: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or diced jalapeños to the chicken filling for a kick.
  • Variations: Use rotisserie chicken for convenience, or swap the cheddar cheese for mozzarella, pepper jack, or Swiss.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
