Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup M&M’s candies
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and M&M’s, reserving some for topping if desired.
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
Press a few extra M&M’s on top of each cookie for decoration.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Centers will still look soft.
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
Use seasonal M&M’s for festive holiday variations.
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
