These adorable Chocolate Dipped Brownie Hearts are rich, fudgy brownies cut into heart shapes and dipped in smooth melted chocolate. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, or any special occasion!

For the Brownies:

  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • â…“ cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

For the Chocolate Coating:

  • 6 oz (170g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable oil

Optional Toppings:

  • Sprinkles
  • Crushed nuts
  • White chocolate drizzle

Instructions

1. Bake the Brownies

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch (20x20cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined (do not overmix).
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting.

2. Cut into Hearts

  1. Once cooled, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out brownies. (Save the scraps for snacking or ice cream toppings!)

3. Melt the Chocolate

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate and coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.

4. Dip and Decorate

  1. Dip each brownie heart halfway into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  2. Place on parchment paper and add sprinkles or toppings while the chocolate is still wet.
  3. Let the brownies set at room temperature or chill in the fridge for 15 minutes until firm.

5. Serve & Enjoy!

  1. Serve at room temperature or slightly chilled for a fudgy texture.
