  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (35 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the fudge topping:

  • 1/2 cup (115 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream

Optional toppings:

  • Mini marshmallows
  • Crushed cookies (e.g., Oreos)
  • Chocolate chips or chunks
  • Chopped nuts
  • Sprinkles
  • Fresh strawberries or raspberries

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the brownie base

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 12-inch pizza pan or round baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully incorporated.
  3. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir gently until just combined—do not overmix.
  4. Spread the brownie batter evenly onto the prepared pizza pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Step 2: Bake the brownie

  1. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Do not overbake.
  2. Allow the brownie base to cool completely in the pan.

Step 3: Make the fudge topping

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is smooth and glossy.

Step 4: Assemble the dessert pizza

  1. Spread the fudge topping evenly over the cooled brownie base.
  2. Sprinkle your chosen toppings over the fudge layer. Get creative with combinations like marshmallows, crushed cookies, or fresh fruit!

Step 5: Chill and serve

  1. Refrigerate the dessert pizza for 15-20 minutes to set the toppings. Slice into wedges and serve.
